CORPORATION BANK RETIRED OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION (CBROA) With the introduction of pension for bank officers as per the industry level settlement of October 1993 many officers on the verge of retirement opted for pension in lieu of provident fund. In implementing pension rules problems started coming up. Many retired officers desired CBOO to help them. They also wanted to continue their connection with CBOO. In response to this felt need a retired officers’ wing was conceptualized by CBOO. Considering the work involved, and the future needs it was decided to make it a full fledged body. Accordingly Corporation Bank Retired Officers’ Association was formally set up and inaugurated in 1997. Senior office bearers of CBOO are ex officio members of the Central Committee of CBROA. The Association has K. Achutha Shenoy as President and M.P.Bhat as General Secretary both retired executives of the Bank. The Association has its own office at Bejai in Mangalore.
