CBOO  CENTRE

CBOO has its multi utility building in Mangalore called CBOO Centre. It was built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of CBOO (1973-98) and was inaugurated on 26th January 2000.  Built on an area of 20 cents (0.20 acre),  CBOO Centre has 2 floors and a parking area.  In the first floor there is the Seminar Hall which can accommodate about 70 persons.  Committee Meetings, classes, training programmes etc are held in the Seminar Hall. Exhibitions of painting and handloom products have also been held here.

It has an area of  about  970 SFT. (40.6’ x 24’)

There is another hall with an area of 1240 sft. (46 ft x 27 ft) in the same floor which is used for small meetings. There are 3 fully furnished guest rooms with attached bath rooms.

There is also a dormitory which can accommodate 11 people. These  rooms/ accommodation are available for members at a no-profit no loss price. For booking of accommodation a member should give a request in the prescribed form.  The format of request is given in the section titled Forms / Download . 

The second floor of CBOO Centre contains the Silver Jubilee Hall. 

 With an area of  2150 sqft. it  has a mezzanine floor of 730 sqft and a mini hall with an area of  590 sqft .  There is a stage of 490 sqft [ 30 x 16 ft].  The hall and mezzanine together have a seating capacity of 550.   There are two fully furnished rooms adjoining the stage.  The Center has a generator and a lift.  Large meeting of CBOO and AIBOC are held here.  Cultural programmes, seminars, symposia and lectures are held in this hall.

The Seminar Hall and Silver Jubilee Hall are rented out for programmes so as to recover  the recurring expenses. Tariffs

One Deputy General Secretary (Ekanath Baliga) looks after the Centre.  The ground floor which is now used for dining and vehicle parking has the Corporation Bank Officers' Consumers’ Co-operative Society Ltd. (For Society see the heading Consumers’ Society).
